It is a pleasure to have received the invitation through the Martha Acosta Foundation to obtain a pass to the PorciFORUM 2024 event, which was sponsored by Dr. Laura Batista, whom I deeply thank for her support.
This technical event brought together Mexican pig farming for two days, November 6 (starting at 2:30 p.m.) and November 7 (starting at 8:00 a.m.) at the Radisson Hotel Tapatío Guadalajara in order to discuss the concerns of the sector.
It is great to meet high-ranking people such as Luis Carrasco, Technical Agricultural Engineer in Agricultural Operations from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia with a Master’s Degree in Commercial Management and Marketing -ESIC, as well as Heriberto Hernández, Ivan Espinosa, Germán Gómez, Dr. Héctor Quiles Corona and MVZ Luis Manuel Raya, who are members of associations in the swine sector, without forgetting the other attendees and all those speakers in charge of supporting the technical program.
Being selected as a MAFI scholarship holder, I am grateful for the great opportunity that was offered, since it encourages the desire to learn, multiplying the opportunities for formal and systematic study in the area of interest, allowing a process of teaching and learning in a partial or extracurricular way that will allow us to take the profession to a higher level, of which, with this type of training we support the national swine farming and in the formation as future veterinarians, transmitting the knowledge with the people around us, taking them to practice in the world of work or field.
