The course on pig pathology was held on November 22, 29, 30, December 6, 7, 13 and 14, 2024, in the Department of Public Health and Veterinary Medicine of the University Center for Biological and Agricultural Sciences (CUCBA) of the UdeG by the Association of Veterinary Doctors Specialized in Pigs of the West (AMVECO).
It is a pleasure to participate in these symposiums with the support of the Martha Acosta Foundation since they are a tool in the search for solutions to public and swine health problems that are intended to promote general scientific research, understanding and discussion, recognizing the quality of the speakers who taught the course, including Marco Carvajal, Victor Quintero and Alberto Stephano, who among other speakers present, provided sufficient information to respond effectively to diseases on farms, leading to accurate diagnoses by correctly sending samples to the laboratory and the necessary knowledge to give recommendations with the support of the practices provided at the school as well as in one of them having a visit to the municipal slaughterhouse of Guadalajara.
