The Martha Acosta Foundation A.C. is pleased to share the participation of its fellows in the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV), one of the most important academic and professional gatherings for the international swine industry.
Thanks to the support of the AASV Foundation, and through the collaboration program with the Martha Acosta Foundation A.C., our fellows received a stipend that enabled them to attend this important congress and participate in the various academic activities included in the program.
During the event, the students had the opportunity to attend technical conferences, professional development sessions, and networking spaces with specialists from the swine sector, further strengthening their academic training and broadening their perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the global swine industry.
As part of the congress program, the AASV Foundation Luncheon took place on Monday. During this event, stipend recipients Michelle Ortega and Heriberto Ramírez were recognized. Representing Dr. Martha Acosta, CEO of the Martha Acosta Foundation, Dr. José Angulo delivered a message acknowledging the dedication of the students supported by the Foundation. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of continuing to promote opportunities for young professionals interested in developing their careers in swine production and highlighted the value of initiatives like this in strengthening Mexico’s swine sector.
The Martha Acosta Foundation A.C. also recognizes and appreciates the participation of Dr. José Angulo for representing our institution during this event and for accompanying the presentation of the students before the international community gathered at the congress.
Finally, the Martha Acosta Foundation A.C. extends its recognition to the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) and the AASV Foundation for their commitment to the education of new generations of professionals and for supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of young talent within the swine industry.
