The American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) will hold its 57th Annual Meeting from February 28 to March 3, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, reaffirming its position as one of the most important global events in swine medicine and production.
For this edition, three Mexican scholars supported by Fundación Martha Acosta A.C. (MAFI) will attend the event through distinct academic support programs that strengthen their professional development and international projection within the swine sector. Arleth Michelle Ortega Flores and Antonio Heriberto Ramírez Ramírez will participate as scholarship recipients through the student support program granted by AASV in collaboration with the Foundation, a recognition of their academic excellence, commitment to swine specialization, and professional potential within the industry.
Additionally, José Mario Rosado Silva will attend as the third scholar through an institutional grant awarded directly by Fundación Martha Acosta A.C., in recognition of his outstanding performance within the academic programs in which he is enrolled. Notably, José Mario becomes the first recently graduated scholar sponsored by the Foundation to attend the AASV Annual Meeting, marking a significant milestone in MAFI’s commitment to supporting young professionals at the beginning of their specialized careers.
The participation of these three young in AASV 2026 represents a strategic opportunity to access high-level scientific updates, connect with international leaders in the swine industry, and expand their professional vision within a global environment. It also strengthens efforts to promote generational renewal and technical specialization in the swine sector.
Fundación Martha Acosta A.C. expresses its sincere recognition and appreciation to the AASV Foundation (AASVF) for it commitment to education and professional development in swine medicine.
Now, the professionalization of the swine sector requires prepared, connected, and globally minded young professionals. We encourage students interested in swine medicine and production to take the next step and become student members of AASV. Joining this global community opens doors to specialized knowledge, professional networks, and transformative opportunities that can shape their future careers.
