Center for Biological and Agricultural Sciences (CUCBA) of the University of Guadalajara, reaffirming its commitment to training new generations of professionals in the sector.

During the ceremony, three scholarships were awarded in honor of Dr. Consuelo Arana, Dr. Ricardo Jiménez Rubio, and Dr. Irma Elizondo, mentors of the Foundation whose professional careers have made a significant contribution to pig farming, teaching, and academic training

The event was attended by university authorities, representatives of the pork industry, and allies, some of whom were part of the presidium: Dr. David Román Sánchez Chiprés, Head of the Production Department; Dr. Elia Margarita Rodríguez Chávez, Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and mentor of the Martha Acosta Foundation; Dr. Laura Batista, mentor of the Foundation, who attended the ceremony virtually; Engineer Víctor Guiza, Director of the Regional Union of Pig Farmers of Jalisco (URPJ); and Dr. Martha Acosta, President of the Martha Acosta Foundation.

During the formal ceremony, the members of the presidium addressed the scholarship recipients, urging them to continue their academic preparation with responsibility and dedication, emphasizing the importance of taking seriously the commitment that comes with bearing the names of the mentors who created these scholarships

The scholarships were awarded to students Ortega Flores Arleth, Gómez Castellanos Ulises, and Vidal Vela Felipe, who shared a message of gratitude for this opportunity, expressing their commitment and enthusiasm to continue developing within the sector.

At the end of the ceremony, the Martha Acosta A.C. Foundation offered a space for socializing to which authorities, family members, scholarship recipients, and attendees were invited, creating a close encounter that fostered dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the strengthening of ties between the academic community, the productive sector, and the Foundation
