On February 27, 2025, in the city of Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jal., through the University Center of Los Altos (CUAltos, UDG). The Martha Acosta Foundation presented the eleventh scholarship in honor of the DVM. Juan Manuel Magallón Mares (RIP).
The event took place in the Former Rectors Hall of the University Center, where university authorities met headed by Dr. Alejandro Pérez Larios, Carmen Leticia Orozco López, Indira Merary Guardado Bueno, on behalf of the Martha Acosta Foundation, LTS. Yarely Valdes and the treasurer Lucia Martinez, the scholarship winning student; Jose Mario Rosado Silva in the company of his parents, DVM. Andres Mireles representative of AMVECO and family and friends of the honored mentor.

The virtual participation of Dr. Martha Alicia Acosta Padilla; CEO of the Foundation, thanked the university authorities and those present for their support and openness in order to achieve the social objective that the foundation maintains with students and agricultural education. On the other hand, she expressed the enthusiasm of being able to deliver a second scholarship at CUAltos, remembering and recognizing the effort and dedication of each scholarship recipient who has been part of the foundation, especially the student José de Jesús González, who represented this scholarship during the period 2023-2024.
During the ceremony, a biographical sketch of the personal and professional life of DVM. Juan Manuel Magallón Mares (RIP) was read, and a video clip of the mentor’s life trajectory was shown. Afterwards, a diploma and stipend were presented to the new scholarship recipient, José Mario Rosado Silva, who expressed his commitment to comply with the statute of the scholarship and to keep the name of his profession high.
