The Martha Acosta Foundation A.C. proudly announces the official inauguration of the Virtual Pig Farm School, an innovative training program designed for students pursuing careers related to the agricultural sector, with a special focus on pig farming.
This project arises from the growing need for trained personnel on pig farms, where the lack of specialized technicians represents a challenge for the sector’s productivity and sustainability. The Virtual Pig Farm School seeks to respond to this reality by offering new generations a space for continuous and accessible training that combines academic knowledge with digital-practical day-to-day experience on the farm, using cutting-edge technological tools.
The first edition of the program will begin on September 1st, with 50 places available for students committed to their professional development in pig farming. Applications are open to those who wish to participate in this annual program, provided they meet the registration requirements.
Students enrolled in the Virtual Pig Farming School who are accepted will have access to exclusive benefits, such as:
- Specialized content developed by pig farming experts.
- Audiovisual and interactive material to strengthen professional practice.
- Opportunities to exchange ideas with other students and professionals in the sector.
- Recognition of participation endorsed by the Martha Acosta Foundation.
In particular, students who previously participated in Foundation programs will have the opportunity to access this new program, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to their academic and professional development.
With this initiative, the Martha Acosta Foundation takes another step forward in its mission to promote agricultural education and contribute to generational renewal in Mexican pig farming, strengthening the link between university education and the productive reality of the sector. The Foundation recognizes that this project has been made possible thanks to the support of donors and partners committed to education, who, through their support, contribute to opening up opportunities for more students to access high-value educational experiences.
