In the congress from March 1 to 4 I gained new knowledge on important topics, I met important people in the pig farming area, also I was able to obtain a prize in the poster competition with the topic Correlation between velocity patterns of pig spermatozoa and phagocytosis by neutrophils, even the experience of a congress allowed me to know the traders which are an important point for farms and management.
The attendance allowed me to generate social links, therefore I am very grateful to the AASV and Marth Acosta Foundations for having allowed me and given me the opportunity to attend and participate in the congress because for me is very important and helpful to expand my branches of knowledge and also in the area of research.
I attended the breakfast with the PIC where I was able to meet doctors with many years of experience and hear about their positions, I also met business people and doctors researchers who are also from Mexico with whom I exchanged data and heard about their experiences which motivate me to continue to learn about the area of pig farming and

continue with the research branch, it was also a very interesting day because they talked about the future of pig farming taking into how the women also being included in the industry.
Another activity was to visit the commercial part where I could learn about products that are of great help and facilitate the work and biosafety on farms. Finally, on Tuesday, the last day of the congress, I was able to attend a talk about avian influenza which tells us about the importance of doing serology to see that a vaccine works correctly, we met with doctors from Mexico taking a souvenir photo of all the Mexicans present which I consider something very nice because they made me feel part of them and this is my first congress in the AASV and the second in the area of pigs which motivates me a lot to continue wanting to attend more congresses and to participate in them.
