This year the LV AMVEC National Congress was held from August 1 to 4 in Acapulco, Mexico. The exhibition and events were held at the Mundo Imperial complex. This year’s congress celebrated the work of Dr. Martha Alicia Acosta Padilla, being awarded the Golden Boar, the result of her career and contribution to the guild of pig farming for more than 40 years. Exalting the most recent project of hers; the Martha Acosta Foundation with which a dual benefit has emerged aimed at future generations that will represent the pig union.

Prior to the opening of the congress, Arturo Sánchez Mejorada Porras, president of the Federation of Zootechnical Veterinary Medical Colleges and Associations of Mexico (FedMVZ) granted recognition to the trajectory of the winners during the event; the recognition of Dr. Joaquín Becerril to whom the development of the Congress was dedicated, and the two Golden Boars, delivered to the MVZ. Martha Alicia Acosta Padilla and Alejandro Vargas Sanchez. Subsequently, the presidium passed to declare the LV National AMVEC Congress inaugurated.
