Despite continuing in complicated times due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, the Martha Acosta Foundation does not stop in the face of external adversities and inaugurates its foundation by delivering its first scholarship at the University of Guadalajara at the University Centerfor Biological and Agricultural Sciences.

Due to the prevention situation within the university, health protocols were maintained, carrying out the virtual and blended ceremony.

Prior to the start of the event, industry representativesand family members representing the honored mentor were invited. During the event was attended by the Arana Family; Claudia Arana and Andrea Arana (Daughters of the MVZ Honored), MVZ Jorge Ivan Espinoza (Director of the URPJ), MVZ David Sánchez Chipre (Director of CUCBA) who served as master of ceremonies, MVZ Miguel Merlos (representing AMVECO) MVZ Margarita Hernández (Head of the Department of Public Health CUCBA). Likewise and, virtually, the MVZ Laura Batista and Dr. Martha Alicia Acosta Padilla (President of the Foundation).

During the outcome of the ceremony, the outstanding work done by the MVZ Maria del Consuelo Arana Flores in the Swine Farming Guild and her contribution in countless areas were commemorated. Likewise, the delivery of stipends for the Fellow was given, which expressed its gratitude and enthusiasm for being the first beneficiary of the Martha Acosta Foundation.
